Welcome to Fabulous PDX

Our goal is to bring you the most up to date events calendar for FABULOUS events in Portland, Oregon. Fabulous events are either specifically targeted to the GLBT Community or of great interest.

The core of this site is the events listings. We offer you access to these event listings in a variety of ways.

1. Every page of this site has a mini-calendar on the right side. The Mini Calendar shows ALL Events. Here are some tips to using it.

• It always shows the current day first. You can see other days by using the arrows to the right of the “Today” button. You can also go directly to the date of your choice by clicking the down-arrow to the right of the date.
• There are a total of six calendars. You can choose to exclude any of the calendars from your view. Or, you may eliminate all calendars except the one you want to see.
• You can click on any event to get more details about it. Each event can be copied to your Google Calendar.
• In almost all cases, you can create a Google Map to the location of the event by clicking the Map link in the event listing.

2. You can view a Full Size Version of the Calendar by clicking the Calendar link in the menu bar or by clicking the link under the Mini Calendar.

• The Full Size Calendar defaults to a Month view. You may change that view to Week or Agenda.
• The small down-arrow to the right of the Week, Month and Agenda tabs allows you to hide certain calendars from view.
• On the left side, you can make choices about the day, week or month you are viewing.

3. We often write about events. You can see these articles by clicking on the Events link under Topics on the right side of the site.

Fabulous PDX also strives to provide you with helpful and/or fun articles about all things fabulous!

Special articles are featured in the “sliding” feature section. You can control the slider with the arrow buttons on either side.

The Most Recently posted articles appear immediately below these instructions. You can also see the “latest” articles listed on the right side of every screen.

If you are looking for articles on certin topics, be sure to look at the list of Topics, also on the right side of every page.

You can also look for articles based on Tags. Tags are like key words the author has attached to her or his article. You can browse the tags in the lowere left of every page. Just roll your mouse over the Tag Cloud to activate it and click on your tag when it rolls by.

Pages run across the main navigation menu at top of the site. Be sure to visit our growing resources section.

Ask Fabulous Marc is an earnest and sometimes entertaining advice column for fabulous people in Portland. It is staffed by R. Marc Andrews – a real professional! Send a question to Fabulous Marc via his page in the Resources Section.
