The Senate Judiciary Committee will webcast its first-ever hearing Wednesday on a bill to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act — one endorsed Tuesday by the Obama administration.
The committee is live streaming the proceedings, which are scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. eastern time at the Hart Senate Building in Washington, D.C. Click here for the webcast.
Witnesses scheduled to testify at the hearing include gay and lesbian couples affected by the discriminatory law; leaders from the Human Rights Campaign and Freedom to Marry; and opponents to gay marriage from the Alliance Defense Fund and the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
