Transgender Genderqueer Storytelling at Q Center on November 14
Come join Q Center for an amazing evening of living history, reconnecting, and hearing shared the stories of Portland’s LGBTQ community.
In recognition of the NW Gender Alliance celebrating their 30th anniversary, seven esteemed members of our community will share their stories about who they are and how their gender identity/expression impacts their life.
You’ll hear stories about what it’s like being the transgendered Mayor of Silverton, OR, what it means to be Executive Director of a support organization for gender-variant children, performing as a radical “Sissy Boy” artist, and more!
Be part of an incredible evening as author and local historian David Kohl moderates this discussion of living history.
As part of this history celebration, there will also be photographs, journals, collection of letters, books, and much more.
This event is co-sponsored by Q Center and the Gay and Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest (GLAPN).
