Feeling a little dirty? Have some naughty little secrets you need to tell someone about? The Portland Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be hearing all confessions at Confession Wednesdays and proclaiming our own brand of judgement: “You are loved just the way you are, so go and sin… some more!!”
Confession Wednesdays at Jinx Bar (232 NW 12th Ave) is set to be Portland’s hippest new queer night. The kick-off will be tomorrow, November 11th, starting at 8pm. Jinx will offer $3 well drinks and $4 top-shelf martinis all night, shaken and stirred by Portland’s premier gay mixologist, Komy Nasseri, and master bartender Amanda Green. Jinx will have a little something for everyone—sexy eye candy for the boys and the girls, exceptional drinks and music, and of course, Portland’s very own order of queer nuns – The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
10% of the proceeds will be going back to the Sisters, so this is the perfect opportunity to give back to the community just by hanging out, having fun, and having a drink. As a modern day order of queer nuns, The Portland Sisters are dedicated to the support, education, and development of the Portland GLBT community. We raise thousands of dollars every year that go right back to Portland organizations in the forms of grants and direct donations. Partnerships with socially aware bars, merchants, and organizations like Jinx allow us to keep doing the special kind of ministry that we’re known for.
The Sisters are looking forward to this collaboration with Jinx and to making Confession Wednesdays THE place to be for queer and fabulous Portlanders on Wednesday nights. We know how dirty you are… and we love it! Join us starting this Wednesday to tell us all your secrets and receive our absolution. I don’t judge, but I do grade! Be sure to whisper your secret sins in my ear. The best secret will get a special blessing from me, so let the confessions begin!
