At Super Bowl, Antibullying PSAs Will Go On

Antibullying messages sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network will still be shown on the Jumbotron at Lucas Oil Stadium during the Super Bowl Sunday, despite right-wing activist Linda Harvey’s call to cancel them.

The Illinois house of representatives Friday passed a bill requiring schools to take steps to stop antigay bullying. Donna Milo, a transgender Republican businesswoman from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is in the race for the 20th congressional district seat, running on a platform of conservative values in government. Dallas Cowboys draft pick Dez Bryant says he is comfortable with his mom’s “change in sexual orientation” — but he still doesn’t like that she is a lesbian.
