GQ has named their man of the year: Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. GQ calls the nation’s highest-ranking military member a “game changer” for his Congressional testimony that accelerated “don’t ask, don’t tell” repeal earlier this year.

Lt. Dan Choi reflects on Veteran’s Day and the fight to repeal DADT.

Tuesday afternoon in New York’s Times Square, Choi triumphantly walked into a military recruiting station and reenlisted in the Army, thanks to a court decision earlier that day which froze enforcement of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. He’s likely among the first openly gay service members to return after being expelled.

Bill Clinton told Katie Couric that he regrets the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy created in 1993 under his administration. He also stated that Colin Powell misrepresented how the policy would work.

A federal judge has ruled that the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy violates the U.S. Constitution.
