The torment goes on today, but being an adult and knowing that I was not the only sissy/fag/queer and being able to meet others similarly afflicted made a big change. I as could many others write a book on how difficult it is to be gay and the toll that early torment takes on your later life. It is way past time for gays and lesbians to stand up against those that will destroy us.
