Dear LGBT Friends and Allies,

Pride Northwest is calling upon the community to submit nominations for several of our Awards and Honorifics for Pride 2011. We are seeking nominations for the following: Parade Grand Marshall, “Spirit of Pride” Award, Youth Award (22 years old or younger), and “Pride In Action” Award (for volunteer work in service to the community).

Last year’s awards and honorifics went to Darcelle XV (Parade Grand Marshall), Kevin Easton (“Spirit of Pride”) and Ben Brown Jr. (“Pride In Action’). We did not have a Youth Award in 2010.

If you know of someone that would be a worthy recipient of one of these awards or honorifics, please submit that name, along with a minimum of 200 words explaining why this person should be recognized by Pride Northwest, to outreach@pridenw.org no later than Sunday, February 20th.

The 2011 Parade theme, as well as this year’s Parade Award categories, will be announced shortly.
