New Marriage Matters Commercials Airing on Television in Oregon

In the wake of a legal victory in Massachusetts and the buzz about Prop 8 in California, Basic Rights Oregon announces that it is going on the offensive to convince people that marriage equality is appropriate.
The last couple of weeks have brought huge news for marriage equality. A court in Massachusetts ruled that federal marriage discrimination is unconstitutional, while California waits for a similar decision on Prop. 8. The opposition is so concerned that this week they’re launching a national tour to prevent further advances for the freedom to marry.
Here in Oregon, we’re playing offense – launching a statewide television advertising campaign to build support for marriage for same-sex couples!

Take the ad off of the air. I am not a bigot, hateful person, or against anyone, BUT,I do believe in God and the Bible. I do not need to see something I don’t believe in on Television in my home…I can (and do) turn it off when this ad comes on. I do not need education on this matter. It is what it is. I wish everyone happiness, but their sexual preference is all it’s about or they would not be pushing it. Why don’t we push the sanctity of marriage between Man and Women………..!
