Got some stuff you want gone? Give it to the Grizzlies.
Cleaning Out Your Closet? Get a Grizzly To Help! Write it off your taxes!
On Saturday, June 17, the Portland Grizzlies Softball Team will be holding its first ever Grizzled Yard Sale as a fundraiser. The Grizzlies play in the C Division of the Rose City Softball Association – Portland’s LGBT softball league. The Grizzlies are raising money to travel to the World Series 2011 in Chicago and the Gay Games 2014 in Cleveland. Proceeds from items sold will fortify the travel fund.
We need your donations to make the yard sale ROCK! So, here is what we ask:
- Identify items in your house that are ready to go. Make a list!
- Fill out the form below. We are happy to arrange a time when we will come pick up the items, or you can deliver them to us (address provided.)
- We will either pick up or receive your items and provide you with a donation letter. That’s right: the value of your donations counts as a tax write off! Holy wow! That means you can get the benefit of “losing” unwanted stuff and still getting something for it.
- When we come pick up the items – or when you drop them off – please consider a donation of non-perishable food items, which we will deliver to Esther’s Pantry.
- Come to the yard sale on July 17, 2010 at 1117 NE Hancock Street in Portland Oregon (97212) to say a final goodbye to your stuff and claim some great new stuff to take its place!
That is just how easy it is to get rid of stuff, help out some fabulous Grizzlies and get a tax write off. Please fill out the form and we will be in touch about getting the donations to us.
This event is co-sponsored by Team Oregon 2010 – a non-profit group raising money to assist Oregon athletes going to the Gay Games. Portions of the proceeds from this event will go to Team Oregon 2010.
