Last night, Queer NoPo hangout Blue Parrot bid us adieu with a “funeral service.” Just Out reports that the owners were unable to continue with the plans for the club.

On my way to Pride, I shared a Max train with James, the owner of Julia’s on Broadway. Julia’s was a fun and very gay spot that featured Zora’s Bingo, Broadway sing-a-long night and an emerging Glee party on Sunday nights. I say “was” because James let me know that he had passed the club back to the original owners.

So, we bid goodbye to two clubs that had barely started. We hardly knew ya, but we loved ya!
