Twenty-year-old Tyler Robinson got judge Blake Shelton to turn his chair around with his soulful rendition of Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister” on NBC’s The Voice. But it was what he did before singing that really wowed viewers. More from The Advocate:
Robinson, a proud gay Mormon, came out to his dad on national television. He attended the auditions with his mom, a proud supporter.
Robinson is one of four openly gay contestants competing on The Voice. He will be working with Shelton, while the other contestants will be working with Christina Aguilera and CeeLo.
