Equity Foundation Announces Search for Next Executive Director

Equity Foundation, Oregon and Southwest Washington’s lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender community foundation, begins the new decade in a growth position and is searching for the next Executive Director to lead the very-committed Board of Directors, staff, committees and statewide volunteers through this exciting, multi-year effort.

Current Executive Director, Kevin Easton has resigned from the organization but plans to remain until the end of the current fiscal year, June 30, 2010 to ensure a smooth transition and provide the fiscal oversight and donor services expected.

Equity Foundation works to eradicate prejudice towards sexual and gender minorities. By working with philanthropic donors and nonprofit partners throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, Equity Foundation funds change and changes attitudes through grants and scholarship opportunities. Founded in 1989, Equity Foundation has awarded thousands of grants aimed at grassroots community change initiatives. During the last fiscal year, it awarded roughly $330,000 in grants and scholarships throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
