Dirty Duck Closes on August 23

The Mercury just announced that sources authorized to speak on behalf of the Dirty Duck (439 NW 3rd) say it will close its doors for good on August 23.
The Duck, as it is affectionately known, was often considered a throwback to gay bars of yore. It was favored by Bears and the Leather crowd, but often sported a remarkably diverse group of patrons.
The Dirty Duck joins other Old Town gay bars The Eagle Underground and Casey’s in closing this month.
