Seven hundred same-sex couples have married in Mexico City in the first year such unions have been legally recognized, the Associated Press reports.  As reported in The Advocate:

Since the city’s marriage equality law went into effect March 4, 2010, 367 male couples and 333 female ones have wed, the city government announced Friday. Seventy-three foreigners were among those married, the rest Mexican citizens. Nine of those married were between the ages of 71 and 90.

The federal government challenged the marriage equality law in court, but the nation’s supreme court upheld it last August.
