1st Annual Portland Queer Music Festival Lineup Announced

Earlier this year the Portland FREE Music Project partnered with Red Cap Garage and
Boxxes to create the first annual Portland Queer Music Festival, an all day festival on
two stages entirely devoted to queer and queer allied musicians.
After months of planning, applications and countless audio tracks – the official lineup
has been announced and features an incredible array of performers. From up and
coming folk artists to hip hop, electronic and garage rock – the First Annual Portland
Queer Music Festival is bound to have something for everyone.

Originally focusing completely on Portland based acts, the overwhelming positive
response from around the USA prompted the organizers to expand their scope and
accept the applications from groups as far away as NYC right up to our doorstep in
Seattle. This expanded lineup has helped us assemble 27 unique and talented
performing acts.
This 21+ festival is scheduled to take place July 30th, with doors at 3pm and going until
2am on two alternating stages so the audience does not have to miss a single act.
Ending the night will be three of Portlandʼs hottest up and coming DJs.

Pre-sale tickets are available every Monday at Red Cap Garage between 3pm and
Midnight.

Red Cap Garage is part of Portlandʼs landmark gay entertainment complex located in
the middle of the block on SW Stark in downtown. The space was originally an auto
mechanic shop but retains some of those rough edges incorporating a modern twist.
